Races with less than 10 racers will have Dash for Cash Laps determined at the start of the race by Race Director. \nIncentives Unique to Dash for Cash \n\n10% of proceeds will be donated to Shepherd’s Gate Women’s & Children’s Shelter\nLap the Field Cash: $100 prize for first rider in any race to lap the field (minimum field size of 25).\nBest Young Rider Competition: $50 Best Young Rider Award for first U18 finisher in designated races. See above. U18 race registration is $10/race (only available for day-of registration).\nFREE Kids Race (up to age 10) at 11:10 a.m.\n\nCourse: The course is a flat loop running clockwise through four corners on Johnson Drive and Franklin Drive. Free lap rule is in effect. Bring wheels\, no neutral support. \nNCNCA Championships P/1/2 & Women P/1/2/3: The riders must hold an annual license: riders from outside the NCNCA District are welcomed to compete\, the title/jersey will be awarded to an annual license holder residing in the NCNCA Region. \nUSAC 7J3 Eligiblity: (a) to be eligible for a State Championship jersey or medal\, a rider must hold a current USA Cycling annual license and reside in the state as shown as the rider’s license. The session is run by a supervisor. The session is not a training session or a racing session. A minimal amount of fitness is necessary to complete some of the drills. \nParticipation in THIS beginner session qualifies you to participate in THIS afternoon race\, but you will need to do more beginner sessions to be fully track certified. \nWho: beginner & intermediate WTFNB (women\, trans\, femme\, non-binary) riders. Riders age 13 and up are welcome\, minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Maximum 30 riders. \nWhat: instruction on safety\, fixed gear riding\, track riding etiquette\, velodrome drills and training\, and lots of practice. All riders must follow structured session – no individual workouts. \nBring: helmet\, cycling shoes\, pedals\, cycling clothing (layers!)\, snacks\, lunch for between sessions\, water bottle\, allen wrenches\, sunscreen. If you have a track bike bring it\, otherwise rental bikes are available. \nAfternoon races: \nExciting women and non-binary racing at all levels of the sport! These races will double as team sprint and team pursuit practice to build Hellyer’s women/non-binary depth of talent in those disciplines. \nFields: A\, B\, Novice. All fields are WTFNB. \n*Novices must have completed 1 previous Hellyer beginner session (includes this morning’s session). May be upgraded to B or A at supervisor’s discretion. Completion of both the morning beginner session and afternoon mentored races counts as 2 beginner sessions. \nA and B riders will compete in 2 mass-start races and team pursuit or team sprint. A and B riders can come with their chosen pursuit/sprint teams or be assigned to teams. \nNovices will do a standing-start time trial and 2 mass-start races. Full instruction\, Q&A\, and debrief for each race\, with explanations of what is happening in the A/B races. \nMaximum 90 riders.

SUMMARY:Winters Road Race
DESCRIPTION:An Event of the 2024 California Cup \nVolunteers are needed!! Email or call Velo Promo. \nCourse: A 24 mile loop open road race course\, the same as since 2009-2019). Start is a promenade out of Winters ½\nmile onto the loop. Loop: South on Winters Road\, west on Allendale\, south on Timm\, west on Cantelow\, north on\nPleasants Valley\, east on Putah Creek Road\, and then south again on Winters Road.. There is a 1000’ gravel stretch\nafter the Feed Zone uphill on Cantelow. The last ½ mile of Cantelow is a steep twisty decent; use caution!! There is\nongoing PG&E construction on Pleasants Valley\, including steel plates and potholes. All of the roads are narrow; if\nyou can’t stay to the right of the centerline\, stay home. The finish line is the same as 2014-2019\, on Putah Creek just\npast the canal\, west of the old (2013 and prior) finish
