DESCRIPTION:Early Birds training series runs through a progressive skills curriculum intent to improve racer safety and to add fun to your racing experience. This is a call out to both newer and experienced racers to join us for the first five Sunday’s of 2025. Newer racers will benefit with their active participation in the two-hour clinics for each of the five weeks; and experienced racers will benefit when they mentor newer racers! For we truly learn when we teach! Newer racers also benefit with being awarded with “USA Cycling upgrade points” (back again in 2025).\n\nSummary:\n8:30am – men’s clinic/ races/ post-race debriefing10:45am – junior’s clinic/ races/ post-race debriefing1pm – 1/2/3/ mentors racing2pm – women’s clinic/ races/ post-race debriefing\n\nInterested in mentoring? SUMMARY:CCCX 2025 MTB Race #3
DESCRIPTION:History\n\nThe first CCCX was held at Ford Ord in 1998.  Since then\, CCCX has produced MTB\, CX\, Road and Enduro races every year (excluding COVID).  CCCX has become a staple of Monterey County cycling. \n3CX MTB Race Series\n\nThe CCCX MTB Race Series is a series of 4 races.  Riders can race each venue as a standalone event or race the entire series. \nSeries scoring will be based on the best 3 race results for each rider in the series.  Points will be based on finish position.  Riders participating in the series cannot change categories after the first race in the series. \nCHANGE: THERE IS NO ONSITE REGISTRATION FOR THE CCCX 2024 MTB RACE SERIES\, SO PLEASE MAKE SURE TO REGISTER ONLINE BEFORE THE DEADLINE.  THIS IS DUE TO RFID TIMING. \nFort Ord Venue – Fort Ord Day Camp\n\nFort Ord is legendary for its ultra-fast trails.  This is where you will lay down some serious speed without running into a lot of technical features.  Average speeds can exceed 18 MPH for top finishers depending on the course.  On that note – Fort Ord features nearly limitless course variation. The CCCX Race Series will take advantage of trails and features that are not often used to give riders a unique experience.  We don’t mind putting the extra work into course design! \nPlease park inside venue and not on the street.
