SUMMARY:Early Bird Training Criterium
DESCRIPTION:Early Birds training series runs through a progressive skills curriculum intent to improve racer safety and to add fun to your racing experience. This is a call out to both newer and experienced racers to join us for the first five Sunday’s of 2025. Newer racers will benefit with their active participation in the two-hour clinics for each of the five weeks; and experienced racers will benefit when they mentor newer racers! For we truly learn when we teach! Newer racers also benefit with being awarded with “USA Cycling upgrade points” (back again in 2025).\n\nSummary:\n8:30am – men’s clinic/ races/ post-race debriefing10:45am – junior’s clinic/ races/ post-race debriefing1pm – 1/2/3/ mentors racing2pm – women’s clinic/ races/ post-race debriefing\n\nInterested in mentoring? Please plan to attend the Saturday\, January 4 mentor training on the Livermore course 1-3pm.\nMentor minimum requirements: strong belief in carving out time in a racing season dedicated to learning and renewing fundamentals of racing; fitness to observe a racing pack of riders; reads and understands the weekly progressive skills curriculum\, as well a mentor roles and responsibilities; clearly communicates to racers what they observe and lessons learned that align with planned curriculum; and\, clearly demonstrates how much fun racing can be!\n\nThank you in advance for passing this invite to racing friends and teammates.
