2024 NCNCA Nomination and Election Information

Once again, it is time for NCNCA to seek nominations and hold elections for next year’s NCNCA Board of Directors. The timeline for the entire process is below. These notes can also be found in the August Minutes, to be posted shortly at NCNCA Board Minutes.

The first deadline is the nomination period. As a reminder, “NCNCA member” refers to the clubs/teams/organizations. Each entity has a designated representative; it’s ONLY that person who can officially submit nominations. If you think someone would make a great board member, reach out to your representative to get that person nominated. If you are not on a team but would like to be nominated for board, please reach out to the board for more information at secretary@ncnca.org

NOMINATIONS are open until Monday, September 25th. 2024 Board of Director Nominees are the following:

  • Melissa Avery
  • Lloyd Davies
  • Eran Gilat
  • Jason Grefrath
  • Robert Leibold
  • John Marengo
  • Haley Nielsen
  • Barry Padilla
  • Gabby Zacks

2023 NCNCA Club Members are the following:

If your club isn’t listed above, your club can still become an NCNCA member by registering your club on Bike Reg HERE.

Sept 19th – Oct 1st 9pm: Candidates who have been nominated will be emailed. Those who accept their nomination may submit candidate statements to the NCNCA Secretary. Email: secretary@ncnca.org

Oct 1st: Candidate statements will be announced and posted on ncnca.org.

Oct 1st – Oct 10, 9pm: Online voting period. Each NCNCA Member (reminder: members are clubs or organizations, not individual racers) may cast one vote each for a maximum of nine candidates (up to nine votes total).

Oct. 12 : Election results announced.

Oct. 16, 7 pm: The ratification of the votes and the new NCNCA Board will be seated at the October BOD meeting (via Zoom).

**The nine people with the most votes will become the new 2024 NCNCA Board of Directors. If there are fewer than ten candidates, every candidate who receives at least one vote will become a Board Member. The new Board will then commence the election of officers, and begin carrying out their business.

Board members are expected to attend monthly board meetings every third Monday of the month, participate in board activities, such as being active on assigned committees, and generally be involved and up to date with board activities.
