2024 Junior District Track Championships

Online registration, pre-registration and day-of registration, $25. One participant per registration.

When: Saturday, June 15th, 2024

Gates Open at 8:30am.

Racing starts at 10:00 am with the flying 200m time trial for sprint seeding.

All timed events will run first, then mass start events.

Age Categories: 9-10;11-12; 13-14; 15-16; 17-18

All races are held under the rules of USA Cycling.

Cost: $25

$6 for parking.

Release Forms: USAC Waiver & Santa Clara County & NCVA Waiver. These MUST have an actual parent or guardian signature. You may complete them on race day or bring signed forms with you.

Prizes: Medals will be awarded to the top 3 in each 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16 Omnium. 17-18 events are individual events and the top 3 in each event will be awarded medals

Rental Bikes: May be used for this event, but selection is limited, first priority in order of arrival.

Gear Restrictions: Ages 9-14 may NOT use a time trial bike for the time trials (no aero bars).

Gear limits apply to ages 9-16.

The roll out limit:

· 9-12 is 19’8″

13-14 is 21’2″

15-16 is 22’9″

17-18 no restrictions

Additional:

The age 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16 events are conducted as omnium. The 17-18 are conducted as individual events. If turnout is low, some groups may race together and some races may be shortened at the chief referee’s discretion.

Events:

· 9-12 Boys & Girls*: 1 lap scratch race, 2km scratch race, 4km points race

· 13-14 Boys & Girls*: 1km scratch race, 3km scratch race, 5km points race

· 15-16 Boys: 5km Scratch Race, Elimination, 8km Points Race

· 15-16 Girls: 5km Scratch Race, Elimination,8km Points Race

· 17-18 Boys: Elimination

· 17-18 Girls: Elimination

· 15-18 Boys: Flying 200m Time Trial, Sprints, 3km Pursuit, 1k ITT

· 15-18 Girls: Flying 200m Time Trial, Sprints, 2km Pursuit, 500m ITT

Note: 17-18 boys and girls points and scratch race to be held at elite track districts on a separate day

Licensing:

Riders must have a racing age from 9 to 18, and be Northern California/Nevada residents as defined by USA Cycling.

A USAC annual license is required to receive any medals.
