Pescadero Road Race update – moved to 7/22! 

Due to the closure of Stage Road, we are pushing the race date and adjusting the course. We will be closing HWY 1 northbound to ensure safe and fair racing for all athletes. Lots of races have been canceled this year, and we want to ensure that Pescadero stays on the calendar!

Alto Velo welcomes all race participants regardless of financial means. If the race fee is a financial barrier for you then please reach out to races(at)altovelo.org for a free entry.

STRAVA COURSE ROUTE

RIDERS NOTE;

The course does NOT pass the start area each lap. Familiarize yourself with the course.

Please be respectful of local residents and other road users along the course. The course is open to all traffic in both directions, be aware of vehicles wanting to pass. Keep to the right side of the road as much as possible, particularly on Haskins climb to the finish line. Please stay to the right. Take caution on the descents.

Please do not throw your gel and bar wrappers on the roadside; keep them in your pockets. If you must discard wrappers, please do so in the feed zone where race volunteers will collect it.

There will also be two clothing drop locations to drop arm warmers or vests, at the start of the feed zone or as you pass the junction of Butano Cut-off. Race volunteers will bring dropped clothing items back to the registration area for collecting, please ensure your clothing has your name.

There will be neutral feed, and volunteer feeders will be positioned at the beginning of the feed zone.

Hungry afterward? Support the local businesses – the gas station does excellent tacos, and the Arcangeli Grocery store does great sandwiches.
