Monarch Racing is a Northern California-based domestic elite women’s road team formed in 2023 that provides top-level equipment, product, and mentorship to ambitious riders seeking to race at the professional level in the U.S. while also requiring riders to engage with their communities and aim to pass on the knowledge, support, and opportunities they’ve received to the next generation of riders. In the 2025 racing season, Monarch Racing is starting a U19 Girls and Non-Binary Road Development Development Team.
Monarch been recognized by USA Cycling with the Innovation Grant, acknowledging our impact on growing the sport with innovative programming, and our programs and mission have been covered nationally and internationally in podcasts, films, and written media by outlets such as Velo, Global Cycling Network, and Girls Gone Gravel.
Our riders are required to volunteer and mentor within their communities – with riders leading skills clinics, group rides, gear swaps, volunteering at city events, and even being a bike marshal for the San Francisco Marathon, just to name a few!
Our Elite team races at the professional level nationally and internationally, and we cover financial and equipment costs for riders in an effort to remove the access barriers that so many women in cycling face.
