Dear NCNCA Member Clubs,
Thank you for being an NCNCA member club in 2025. As a member club, you are eligible to nominate and vote for NCNCA board positions. The board is currently open for more nominations to fill the all nine available seats. Member clubs may nominate as many candidates as you’d like.
NCNCA and its Board Members are responsible for much of the organization of USAC-sanctioned racing in its region. Functions and roles include:
- Maintains an inventory of equipment that can be used by race promoters, including laptop computers, traffic control equipment, clocks and timers.
- Acts as the Local Association for USAC, in a Northern CA/NV region defined by zip codes. USAC delegates some of its operational functions to NCNCA for this region, and in return pays a fee in quarterly installments to NCNCA. A Local Association agreement, which must be approved annually by the BOD, governs this relationship.
- Promotes racing events, coordinates and publishes the race calendar, and markets to clubs and members for USAC events in the region.
- Oversees race officials, including everything from scheduling to training seminars.
- Oversees competitions such as BAR/BAT, Premier, and Women’s Series, managing race results in connection with the series.
Interested candidates should be eager to help NCNCA grassroots racing grow and thrive. Responsibilities may include acting as a board officer and/or being a committee chair.
Being on the board is a volunteer position and involves a once a month Zoom call and attending the NCNCA Annual Celebration. Every BOD member has a Committee to lead or specific Board Position Duty. Examples of Committees and Position discussions can be seen on our Monthly Minutes.
The timeline for elections is below. You can nominate yourself, anonymously or ask someone if they are interested. Please nominate individuals by replying to bod@ncnca.org with the NAME and EMAIL of your nomination.
